Trio Sonata for Flute, Viola da Gamba and BC

The title page, which would have perhaps given us an indication of who the composer of this Sonata might be, is missing for this manuscript. The abbreviated signature at the bottom of the last page of the flute and the viol part reads as JL, which could possibly point us to Johann Georg Linike (1680 - after 1737), as one of his Sonatas (for Traverso or Violin, Bassoon or Viola da Gamba, and Bc) can also be found in Rostock. What speaks against this theory is that both versions of Linike’s manuscript are in different hands from this anonymous piece.
